Bob Young

At the operational center, job-site leadership, and master craftsmanship of Bob Young Fences is Owner Bob Young. Serving homeowners, agricultural property owners, and commercial businesses throughout Weatherford, Texas, and the broader Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, Bob brings an incredible 46 years of dedicated trade experience to every project. Bob leads his family-owned business with a hands-on approach, ensuring every fence line, post setting, and automated gate system is built to withstand North Texas environmental conditions while enhancing property security and aesthetic appeal.

Bob’s core area of expertise encompasses complete perimeter security, custom gate design, automated entry systems, and specialized fence construction. Over his four-plus decades in the trade, Bob has designed and built virtually every style of fencing imaginable, including custom ornamental iron, heavy-duty chain link, privacy wood fencing, agricultural post-and-rail, vinyl fencing, and decorative stone-pillar integrations. Bob approaches every installation with meticulous site evaluations, analyzing soil composition, ground slope, wind resistance, and property boundaries to engineer durable structures that maintain alignment and beauty for decades.

Establishing Bob Young Fences in 1984, Bob has built a premier local institution backed by more than 40 years of company heritage. In an industry where many contractors rely on revolving subcontracting crews, Bob maintains total quality control by personally supervising every single job. From initial layout and post-hole excavation to custom welding, gate motor programming, and final inspection, Bob personally oversees field execution to ensure every project meets his exacting standards of craftsmanship.

Over Four Decades of Metroplex Heritage, Custom Gate Automation & Industry-Leading Guarantees

Over his 46-year career, Bob has developed specialized mastery in custom ornamental ironwork and automated gate systems. An entry gate serves as both a primary security barrier and the focal point of a property's exterior. Bob specializes in designing, fabricating, and installing custom iron gates paired with top-tier electronic gate openers. Bob Young Fences services and repairs all major gate opener brands, ensuring clients receive expert diagnostic support and long-term maintenance whether installing a brand-new motorized system or restoring an existing entry setup.

Bob believes in total transparency, honest pricing, and backing his work with meaningful warranties. The company provides free, detailed estimates for residential and commercial projects alike, allowing clients to explore custom design options without financial commitment. To ensure complete peace of mind, Bob backs his work with a 2-Year Guarantee on Labor, a 1-Year Guarantee on Fences, and full manufacturer warranties on all automated gate openers and electronic components. This long-term warranty coverage reflects Bob’s confidence in the structural integrity of his builds.

Grandfather, Vehicle Restorer, Gardener & Community Pillar

Beyond his daily work building fences and managing job sites across Weatherford, Bob is a devoted family man and proud grandfather. Known for his warm personality and great sense of humor, Bob brings a friendly, approachable atmosphere to every job site and client interaction. He treasures spending quality time with his family, taking boating trips on local lakes, and going camping in the great outdoors.

Bob is also a passionate mechanical craftsman and gardener. In his free time, Bob loves restoring classic vehicles, applying the same patience, attention to mechanical detail, and hands-on precision required in custom iron welding to bringing historic automobiles back to life. Additionally, Bob is an avid planter who enjoys working in his garden, nurturing plants, and enhancing outdoor landscapes. His love for outdoor living and mechanical restoration directly shapes his professional worldview—viewing a fence not merely as a property barrier, but as an architectural feature that frames and protects a family's outdoor sanctuary.
